Enbrite.ly is proud to announce that we have won the biggest prize for any pitching competition in history at Slush 2014 in Helsinki. The funding will be used to eliminate the plague of advertising fraud from the online ecosystem. This feat was possible after an intense month spent at the Startup Sauna accelerator program. More on our previous experience here.

The original prize, 250K EUR, was doubled at the last minute on stage just before enbrite.ly was announced as the winner. enbrite.ly had spent one month in Finland before Slush, participating in the autumn batch of Startup Sauna 2014 – the best startup accelerator program in the Nordics.

The Slush 100 pitching competition’s final four contestants (enbrite.lyCodementorRePack and CosmEthics) were selected from more than 1,000 applicants from all over the world. About the other three teams competing for the prize:

  • Codementor is a marketplace which provides training on software development.
  • RePack is a globally unique reusable packaging service for online retailers. RePack improves consumer experience, cuts the cost of packaging and eliminates packaging waste.
  • CosmEthics provides consumers with the possibility to venture behind the gloss of the cosmetics world.

This is a great day for Hungarian startups. Also at Slush, cloud presentation platform Prezi.com announced it has secured $57 million (USD) growth investment from Spectrum Equity and Accel Partners.
